My friend just came back from the Writing for the Soul conference and heard Jerry Jenkins, co-author of the Left Behind series and Doc. Dennis Hensley; head of the Professional Writing Department at Taylor University and popular author, speak. These two men, very visible in the public eye, used part of their allotted time to brag on their better halves.
In a day where Christian marriages are crashing and burning in historical numbers, it’s refreshing to hear a wife being praised from the speaker’s platform. In a day where the individual forges ahead to make their own mark on the world, it’s reassuring to know some still remember they have a “half” and that “two shall become one” isn’t a quaint phrase just hauled out for weddings.
This isn’t to condemn those who have to get out of a brutal marriage. On the contrary, it’s honoring two men who are still celebrating their spouses, giving encouragement to all who want to stay in it for the long haul. Thanks, guys for hanging with your same sweet hometown zip codes. I’ll give that a “ten” Dove chocolate rating any day.

Thank you for that encouragement. I happen to be the better half of Jerry Jenkins!
You’re welcome. Glad you had a chance to stop by and check out the website. Blessings,
Carol S.
